Are you looking for a place around Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) for family recreation or just relaxing alone? Then, we recommend you go to Benjakitti Park (สวนเบญจกิติ).
Benjakitti Park (aka Benjakiti or Benchakiti Park) is located in Asoke, Downtown Bangkok, and it is a few steps away from BTS Station Asoke and MRT Station Sukhumvit. You can also enter the park via MRT Station Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. We believe it's convenient and more accessible.
Staying healthy is essential even on holiday, so grab your running shoes as we take you to Benjakitti Park for outdoor activities.
Benjakitti Park in Downtown Bangkok is the best place for jogging and other outdoor activities to stay healthy during your holiday trip. You can also rent a bicycle and go boating in the lake park.
Benjakitti Park in Downtown Bangkok offers a central boating lake, an outdoor exercise area, and a cycling track. You may find a path that is used by walkers and joggers too. Also, if you want to explore and have fun, you can hire a bicycle and boat in the park.
With sunrise, the first joggers run one or more rounds of 1.8 km around the sea. So, feel free to check them out. Sometimes, you may also see some Nordic walkers and bicycles around the park using the bike track.
Some parents and children could be tired of going shopping around Terminal 21. We recommend going outside and enjoying Benjakitti Park afterward for convenience and recreation. The park is nearest to many hotels like the Sheraton and others.
For instance, you can find Asoke Montri Road at the northern entrance. This is only some meters away from the BTS Station Asoke, MRT Station Sukhumvit, Shopping Mall Terminal 21, and Interchange and Exchange office buildings.
At the eastern part of the park, you will see a children's playground and a public outdoor gymnastic area which is quite fascinating. You can find an area where you can relax in the shade under the trees at noon. Here, you can enjoy comfortable seats as an alternative to the infrastructure of your office during lunch break.
Furthermore, In the southwestern part of this area, you will find a bicycle and boat hire business and shops for drinks and snacks. Somehow, these complete the whole service offering.
Benjakitti Park is named after a Thai Princess. Most of the park is covered by a lake; the rest is covered in lush greenery with jogging and a cycling track.
Meanwhile, you will see the Queen Sirikit Convention Hall in the south. It adjoins the park with the same-named Metro Station. The Queen Sirikit Convention Hall is located at the crossing of Asoke Montri and Rama IV. Diagonally, there's a big market where you can buy fresh vegetables and meat from living animals like ducks and chickens—just a nice place to end your day.
Benjakitti Park has a statue called Phra Buddha Wisuthimongkol that is 104 cm wide and 148 cm high.
Benjakitti Park (สวนเบญจกิติ) is located in the Khlong Toei District, and it is one of the biggest public parks in Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok). It was opened in 2004 to honor Queen Sirikit's 72nd birthday.
