Hey! Shane here 🤩 just recently, I went to Phuket for a 3-day trip. So, to make sure you make the most of your holiday time on Phuket Island because there are a number of things to see and do, I decided to write this blog and share this with you.
My Travel to Phuket series aims to provide you with a full single-day tour of certain regions of the island. You will get to know why Phuket is regarded as the best place to visit.
So, this time, strap on your hiking boots and prepare yourself as I detail my wondrous trip to Phuket Nature Spots on Day 1.
I started my trip to Phuket by visiting the Sirinat National Park, which sits in a beautiful location on the northwest coast of Phuket, straddling the Andaman Ocean, set over 90 square kilometers 🤩
Named after the Queen of Thailand, the park is home to some of Phuket's finest and most peaceful beaches, such as Nai Yang and Mai Khao, alongside coral reefs, mangrove forests, and dense jungle beauty.
If you want to see Phuket at its best, a trip to start your day at the National Park is a must. The Casuarinas tree-lined beaches provide a paradise island retreat that not so many tourists see nowadays, so take full advantage of your day trip.
My next stop was at the Indigo Pearl Resort, and I arrived there at 11:30 in the morning. This five-star resort on the island's northwest coast is the ideal place, and I had a delightful brunch there 🤩 You can refuel your body for the day ahead by dining at one of Indigo Pearls’ famous and critically acclaimed restaurants.
After having brunch and getting refreshed, I set off for the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park and arrived there at 1:00 PM. This national park is situated on the northeast coast of Phuket, combining conserved jungle vegetation and a host of birds, gibbons, barking deer, bears, wild boars, monkeys, and langurs.
With several forest trails available, which are ideal for hikes, I hired my own guide and explored to my heart's content. The park also has a small information center and a museum that you can take advantage of. Within the park, you can also explore its other famous natural attractions.
The Sirinat Marine National Park is home to the longest white sand beach in Phuket, Hat Mai Khao. The other three beaches are Hat Nai Thon, Hat Nai Yang, and Hat Sai Kaeo.
As part of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park, I made it to the Ton Sai Forest Park at 2:30 noon. It has a waterfall that isn’t the biggest but is very scenic and worth a visit.
The waterfall is located near the entrance of the park, so it is easy to access. Basking in the natural surroundings, I realized what a beautiful part of the world Phuket is 🤩
The National Parks in Phuket are not to be missed, such as the Sirinat Marine Park and the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park. The natural beauty is mesmerizing, and the calm environment soothes you. Make sure to visit the waterfalls in the park.
Bang Pae Waterfall is also part of Khao Phra Thaeo National Park and is known as Phuket’s largest waterfall.
The waterfall could have a limited amount of water that depends on the time of the year. However, the 15-minute trek to the waterfall meandered through scenic jungle surroundings and was worthwhile in itself, and I was there by 3:30 PM.
On the grounds of the Bang Pae Waterfall, you will also find the Gibbon Rehabilitation Center, where you can observe these clever monkeys and make a small donation to the cause. Overall, the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park provides you with a wide choice of natural delights within the same area.
Phuket is Thailand's largest island, with an area of 576 sq km.
After a long day trawling some of Phuket’s most beautiful attractions, I was at Rang Hill and observed panoramic views of Phuket Town.
I enjoyed the natural beauty at this elevated location and had my drinks and snacks at the restaurants perched on Rang Hill. This was the perfect way to end a scenic day away from the busier beachside destinations Phuket is famous for 🤩
This Phuket Nature Spots day trip suggestion will definitely give you an insight into why the island is still regarded as one of the best and most stunning places in the world to visit.
Hopefully, my travel to Phuket series may provide you with options and a perfect chance to visit many things on the island in a single day. And it doesn't end here. My second-day trip to Phuket is coming up. So, watch out for it 🤩
