Hua Hin has become a dreamy beach city south of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) on the Gulf of Thailand. This small town has gradually turned into a tourist hot spot with a thrilling beach, dining, worshiping, and shopping destination. It's an excellent breakout to some of the country's best and most prominent churches and religious sites.
Saint Theresa is a grand Catholic Church of the shrine of Mother Teresa and one of the most sensitive spots in Hua Hin. The church is gorgeous and large, with lovely grounds and a water fountain in front. And the inside is relatively new, with lovely woodwork above the altar. Priests speak good English, and we highly propose it as an excellent place to visit during your Hua Hin tour to complete your journey.
Indeed, Saint Theresa Catholic Church is another breathtaking Catholic Church we found in Hua Hin. If you're curious about what you have to experience, then make sure you continue reading.
You can visit the church on Sunday Morning for the English Mass at 10:30 am and hear the stunning voices of a lively chorus of well-known singers.
Saint Mother Teresa Catholic Church is one of the unique sights you can come across in your Hua Hin travels. It is probably the birthright of a failed expedition to spread Christian worship and the message of the Catholic Church in Thailand.
Many multi-level frescoes on the walls show painted phenomena of the Christian message. One fresco indicates the 'garden of Eden,' finished with Adam and Eve, dinosaurs, and elephants! Rich stained glass windows are unchanged, glaring with reds, golds, and blues. The high domed ceilings are also resplendent with gold and red religious symbolism. This would be a remarkable sight in many parts of the world, but in Thailand, unique.
The Church's land was obtained by the Very Reverend Father Surachai Chumsriphan and his wife on St. Theresa Day (1st October) 1991. Here, people are enabled to practice meditation, pray to God by themselves, or convene a seminar or meeting.
The legislative community runs the big school on the grounds, and if you like modern Church music with guitars, you will surely love this place.
If you know the Springfield Royal Country Club entrance, it’s simple to find. Traveling on the bypass (Pranburi – Cha-Am) Highway North, about 10 kilometers before attaining Cha-Am. Route 101 is the main junction with signs to the Golf Course heading west. The course entrance is another 5 kilometers; after 500 meters, you’ll see a pillared entrance on the left.
Follow the road a short distance, and you’ll come across the main big hexagonal building with impressively broad steps, directing you to the second level of the beautiful St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Hua Hin is the Shrine of Mother Teresa and one of the most spectacular tourist spots. The gorgeous church has lovely grounds, a water fountain in front, and woodwork above the altar. Visitors can enjoy the serenity of this church or attend mass on Saturday and Sunday.
