One of the most popular places to visit in Pattaya is Khao Phra Bat, also known as Pattaya Hill (Phra Tamnak Mountain or Phrabat Mountain), situated amidst the Pratumnak area, close to the back-end of Walking Street

Pattaya Hill (Khao Phra Tamnak / Khao Phra Bat) is famous because it’s a great place to come and relax while absorbing the breathtaking sea views overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. It is the highest vantage point and viewpoint in the Pattaya region and the best spot to look down on the city.

A Popular Pattaya Attraction

Pratumnak Hill is located 2 km from the heart of the city and is easily accessed via Jomtien. This prime viewpoint is a must-visit Pattaya attraction. On the hill, you will find a statue of Jumborn Prince (Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, Prince of Chumphon). He is the father of the Royal Thai Army and is such a person that Thai people come from miles around to pay their respects.

On the grounds of the hill, you will also find the Khao Phra Bat Temple. Many people who live or visit Pattaya like to make a special pilgrimage to Pattaya Hill. A perfect place not only to relax and soak up the local culture but also to take advantage of those expansive and mesmeric views looking out across the Gulf of Thailand.

Pattaya Big Buddha

On the very top of Pratumnak Hill, you might notice an enormous 18 meters tall Buddha. The largest Buddha Statue (Big Buddha) in this region and part of the 1940s built, Wat Phra Yai (when Pattaya was a fishing village).
