Built under the command of King Rama VI, the station is one of the oldest railway stations in Thailand. Furthermore, it is one of the country's most lovely train stations with different architecture. Its most stunning feature is the Royal Waiting Room, designed in Thai architecture. To be highlighted, it was relocated during the reign of King Rama VI from Sanam Chan Palace, located in Nakhon Pathom Province.

The station is renowned as one of the stops from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) to the South and a reminder of history. The station is in the town, within walking distance from attractions such as the night market and the main beach.

Most importantly, Hua Hin Railway Station is among the few locations still in its original state, and it is one of the oldest railway stations in Thailand. Can you believe the Victorian-style main building has a long history from the mid-1920s? An ancient steam locomotive is found on the other side of the road, while mythological birds carry old-style light bulbs between the tracks.

After the completion of the railway between Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) and Hua Hin in 1911, Hua Hin gradually began to improve as a coastal resort town. In those days, the train was the most satisfying way to travel between Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) and Hua Hin.

Do you know what Thailand's first seaside resort is? It is the construction of the southern railway between Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) and Malaysia. The railway made it apparent for citizens of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) to visit the coast and get a kick out of the cool breezes and sea air. The location of Hua Hin soon became a firm favorite of King Rama VII, who built his Klai Kangwon Palace there in 1929.

The royal endorsement of the area transpired in a tourist explosion with an outpouring of rich and robust visitors from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok). To provide an unforgettable experience for its visitors, the hotel created Thailand’s first golf course, The Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, in the 1920s.

Although much about Hua Hin has improved since the 1920s, the train journey from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) is still a quiet trundle and not much faster than it was almost a century ago. The journey time between Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) and Hua Hin by train is nearly 4 hours.

Hua Hin Railway Station is conveniently located near the town center at the end of Thanon Damnern Kasem. Look out for the monument of Pone Kingpetch, one of Thailand’s sporting celebrities, also located on Thanon Damnoen Kasem, close to the train station.

The Hua Hin Railway Station was opened in 1910 and gave a route from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok) to go south to see all the gorgeous Hua Hin attractions, which are still so loved by Thai and foreign travelers today. The original station was renovated in 1926 with its fascinating Victorian Thai design.

It is a brilliant building and one of the most prominent spots for tourism and snapshots, containing selfies for social media, in the entire area of Hua Hin. It is a very famous spot in Thailand as well. The station is only 800 meters from the beach, so one could relish a long but relaxing walk there, probably in the evening just before night, when the weather has cooled, but with still enough sun for photos of the station.

Because getting around Hua Hin is so simple, due to its small-town size, especially in the center area of the city, it will also be easy to get there from anywhere you stay. The station can still be seen today, and the setting is in use for those traveling by train to and from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok), a trip worth taking for the spectacular views and experience of this part of the gorgeous history of Thailand.

Hua Hin Railway Station is in the midst of Hua Hin District. Songthaews, tuk-tuks, motorcycles, and regular taxis are available around Hua Hin to bring you to the train station. As a common, agree on the price before you board. Most interestingly, depending on the distance, you can get a Songthaew for less than 100 baht and a tuk-tuk for the same price.

There are four Songthaew routes in Hua Hin, and the one supported by the train station is the white Songthaew. It will pass by the Floating Market, Wat Huay Mongkol, and come back to the Floating Market.
