Thailand Golf: St. Andrews 2000 in Pattaya

One of the best and most unique golf courses in Pattaya is St. Andrews 2000, which takes the name of one of the world's most famous and oldest golf courses – St Andrews in Scotland.

Designed by one of the most lauded golf architects in the world, Desmond Muirfield, in the year 2000, this St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club in Pattaya enjoys uniquely undulated fairways and even 2x par-6 holes that have to be seen to be believed. Although the main St. Andrews in Scotland is a coastal links course, Muirfield did a great job capturing the essence of a Scottish-style course in Southeast Asia.

We know you might be interested in visiting St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club in Pattaya. So, we advise you to keep reading to get more ideas about this fun and exciting golf course.

The Bear Travel  Fun Fact!

This golf course is one of Pattaya's most beautiful and challenging courses. There is a clubhouse and a golf resort, which overlook the whole course.

A Challenging Golf Course

This challenging 74-par course has the aforementioned undulating fairways and multiple-tier greens, lots of water hazards, and bunkers. This course is for the more experienced player or those who want to play a unique course like this.

Although the course is pretty tricky for an 18-plus handicapper, with the large putting surfaces and split-elevation fairways, it is still a memorable experience. And though St. Andrews 2000 will never match the original course in Scotland.

But, if you are in the Pattaya region and want to try a different course that you will generally find in Asia and want to experience what it’s like to play Scottish-inspired links golf without the windy coastline, this course is a perfect choice.

The Bear Travel   Trivia!

The 2 par 6 holes are over 800 yards each.
