Phanom Rung Historical Park Buriram Provincethailand

If you love to explore the culture and history of Thailand in a peaceful environment, I suggest you visit Phanom Rungโ€”a Hindu temple complex just near the Cambodian border ๐Ÿง”

When I researched the history, I learned it was built during the Khmer Empire's reign, between the 10th and 13th centuries CE ๐Ÿ… The most interesting fact to share about this place is that this complex was constructed on top of a volcanic mountain, which was believed to be the home of the Hindu God Shiva.ย

Phanom Rung is the perfect example of Khmer architecture. It is considered one of the most important Khmer sites in Thailand ๐Ÿง” Most importantly, the temple complex consists of a series of buildings and terraces constructed using sandstone and laterite blocks.

Tourists also love Lampang as it has traditional crafts, including ceramics, textiles, and woodcarving ๐Ÿง” In addition, if you plan a holiday at Lampang, visit its natural attractions, including the Chae Son National Park, known for its hot springs, waterfalls, and lush forests.ย

I will end the list with probably the most known place on the list. Most people have heard of Chiang Rai, but most of you have yet to make it there ๐Ÿ†๏ธ It may be because it is located in the northernmost part of the county, as most people love to visit Thailand to be in the south with the beaches and the islands. But trust me, though, it is worth it if you do.

Most importantly, if you enjoy Thai temples, there are so many amazing temples that you should check out in Chiang Rai ๐Ÿ… Here are some of the top attractions that make Chiang Rai a must-visit destination in Thailand:

  • Wat Rong Khun (White Temple)
  • Hill Tribe Villages
