  • The Bang Bao Bay has been a sanctuary for fishing boats seeking shelter from the monsoon for many years. 
  • Nowadays, there are many local shops, Coffee shops, and excellent fresh seafood restaurants.
  • The pier is also home to several scuba dive shops, a police station, a health center, a guesthouse, and a convenience store. 

• Bailan Bay (3.4 km)
  
  • Bailan Beach (or Bailan Bay) sits about 2 km from Lonely Beach.
  • Known for its local, quiet atmosphere and laid-back tourism, it boasts a brand hotel (Mercure) at the southern end, a couple of mid-range resorts, and plenty of bungalows.
  • Alongside them, you'll find a few cheap and cheerful restaurants, minimarts, and a bit of massage. There is no nightlife – part of its attraction.
  • On the downside, the small beaches at either end certainly do not award winners, so you must head to Lonely Beach or Bang Bao Beach for the proper sand and sea experience.

• Khiri Phet Waterfall (5 km)
  
  • Khiri Phet Waterfall is Located about 2 kilometers from the fishing village of Salak Phet.
  • Khiri Phet is a medium-sized waterfall with 2 levels. All year round, you can happily enjoy the plunge pool, and you'll find a good spot for a refreshing swim. 
  • Further levels of the waterfall can be reached. Still, the path is challenging, especially in the rainy season when it can be very slippery.
  • Once at the top, however, you will be rewarded with stunning views over Salak Phet and Jek Bae Villages.

• Klong Nueng Waterfall (6 km)
  
  • Klong Nueng Waterfall in Salak Phet is perhaps the least known of the Koh Chang waterfalls, hidden at the end of a tricky-to-find inland road in the back of nowhere.
  • Though by no means the largest waterfall in Koh Chang, Klong Nueng claims the highest actual drop.
  • If you catch the falls in the rainy season or just after the river and forest run-off peak, you'll witness a fabulously dramatic and noisy experience.

• Kai Bae Beach (6 km)
  
  • Kai Bae Beach is the last area before the road climbs over the second mountain and connects to the far southwest of the island.
  • Local and friendly, it is a slightly cramped dusty place with a hotch-potch of shops, restaurants, and bars jostling for position up on the road and a good beach, split into two sections, just a hundred or so meters away.

  • The full name is Mu Ko Chang National Park, and it is famous for its waterfalls, trails, viewpoints, and coral reefs.
  • It is located in the Gulf of Thailand offshore from the coast of Trat Province, close to the Cambodian border.
  • It is a marine national park over 650 km² over 52 islands in the Ko Chang Archipelago.
