Bodh Gaya Pagoda (8 minutes drive)

Another place that you might have visited during your Sangkhlaburi travel is the Bodh Gaya Pagoda. This tall golden Indian-style pagoda towers over the Mon Village and the lake. The gold pagoda stands out from the rest of the landscape like a sore thumb. You can't miss it.

Underwater Temple (8 minutes drive)

Wat Saam Prasob is an extensive underwater temple. Part of the Temple was underwater; the other part was accessible. Under a makeshift awning made of bamboo was a huge Buddha statue surrounded by some plastic flower wreaths and a few burnt-out incense sticks. Scattered along the grass surrounding the Temple were some Buddha heads and more rubble still.

Wat Wang Wiwekaram (9 minutes drive)

Wat Wang Wiwekaram is one of the most notable temples in Thailand. It consists of several buildings and Buddhist prayer halls. Still, the highlight of visiting Wat Wang Wiwekaram is the multi-tiered roof of the main Temple. This type of architecture is expected in the Mon-majority area in Myanmar. Still, it is not so much in Thailand, so visiting is very important.

Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary (10 km / 6.2 miles)

Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in Thailand in the northern part of Kanchanaburi Province and the southern part of Tak Province.
