Although we go on holiday to see new places and meet new people, one of the significant parts of a vacation is eating out every night. Thailand, and particularly Pattaya, has a top-notch dining scene that you should really need to know more about 🧔

However, if you watch Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares, between all the expletives, blue plasters, salmonella, and verbal abuse, there is one thing that the irate chef has taught us… always make sure you choose Pattaya restaurants that come highly recommended by someone who knows what they are talking about. In my case, I will follow the recommendations of our very own Hungry Bear. Because I love dining out and have lived across many locations in Thailand over the past 12 years, I have tried some of the finest eateries in the Kingdom. Does that make me an expert? Doesn’t it matter what kind of food you want to try in Pattaya because the city has it? From Mongolian BBQs and fabulous fine-dining eateries to down-to-earth British restaurants, French and gutsy Italian cuisine, endangered species, and much more, there are few cuisine types you can’t find in Pattaya, from quaint little Thai shack restaurants where you can find chicken fried rice for 35 THB to glittering culinary masterpiece style eateries where Fin Clair Oysters are served on a silver platter by dusky maidens for 2,000 THB, and everything in between.

#10 Cafe des Amis

Known as the Holy Grail of restaurants in Pattaya, Cafe des Amis is a true culinary giant in the city. Serving fine-dining cuisine with phenomenal attention to detail, with a fantastic assortment of wines from across the world, dozens of different types of gin, and some of the most awe-inspiring and authentic Japanese Wagyu steaks that literally melt in the mouth.

When you want a dining experience for the ages in Pattaya City, no one can match this sublime eatery, located behind Thappraya Road in Jomtien, in a stylish and elegant atmosphere. The combo of food and drinks makes it a tenth of our top 10 most popular Pattaya restaurants 🏅

#9 Caravan

Suppose you are looking for your Russian or Eastern European fix in Pattaya. In that case, no one does it like the Caravan 🥇 Located on Pattaya Second Road, near Art in Paradise, come along to try Shashlik or some other Baltic favorites at this classy Pattaya restaurant. The flavors of Caravan put it in ninth place on the top 10 list.

#8 Benihana at Avani Pattaya

Benihana is a renowned Japanese American steakhouse at Avani, just half a mile from Walking Street Pattaya. Benihana is for you if you are a fan of Japanese cuisines such as sushi, fried rice, sushi, and many more mouth-watering dishes. It ranked eighth on my top 10 list because of its fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. The best part is your dining table is your kitchen, and the master chefs cook right in front of you 🏅

#7 Livv Pattaya Finest Food & Drinks

This is the only restaurant on the list that isn’t located in downtown Pattaya or Jomtien. Still, it is seventh place due to its food and ambiance 🥇 Situated on Soi Khao Talo in an area known as East Pattaya on the opposite side of Sukhumvit Road, LIVV is known for its stylish and chic euro-style restaurants that merge elegant café/fine-dining eatery to offer something unique. We would recommend the ribs and imported steaks. 

#6 DOM Pizza

Are you craving fast food? Then what are you waiting for? Head to Dom Pizza in Soi Phra TamNak, Pattaya, and enjoy the best pizza. It is a European restaurant specializing in Italian and Thai menus 🥇 If you are a vegetarian, don't worry; this place has vegetarian and gluten-free options. You can also enjoy Brunch, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks, and Late Night food here. Dom Pizzas made it to my top 10 list and ranked sixth because of the food quality, service, and affordable menus.

#5 Mai Thai Cuisine

Mai Thai is a Thai cuisine restaurant with an extensive menu of local and European dishes 🥇 You can also enjoy the full bar service and different wines. Mai Thai offers indoor and outdoor dining with live music and serves lunch, dinner, and late-night dining options. You can visit Mai Thai on Nakula Road in Pattaya. Being a fan of the local Thai food and the ambiance of Mai Thai deserves a fifth place in my top 10 restaurants listed on Tripadvisor in Pattaya.

#4 Indian by Nature

We always get asked where the best Indian restaurant in Pattaya is, and most people, especially on Tripadvisor, say Indian by Nature on Thappraya Road in Jomtien. This is the perfect option for the most delicious curries you can imagine, all within a welcoming and authentic Indian-themed atmosphere, and I ranked it fourth on my top Pattaya restaurant list 🥇

#3 MAYs Pattaya 

MAYs Pattaya is located on Thepprasit Road, Jomtien, opposite KTB Bank. It is an Asian, Thai, and Fusion restaurant. MAYs specialize in traditional urban Thai food. However, their fusion touch on Thai street food gives a new perspective to traditional tastes. It serves lunch, dinner, and late-night dining. I put May's third on my top 10 list because of the fusion dishes, fresh ingredients, and quality service 🏅

#2 Five Star J Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant

Known as the best vegetarian restaurant in Pattaya, Five Star J Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant is a quality eatery on the corner of 3rd Road on South Pattaya Road. Mainly offering Asian-style vegetarian food is the ultimate option if you are a vegan or want to eat healthy in Pattaya. Being the best vegetarian restaurant in Pattaya, it deserves a second place in my top 10 most popular Pattaya restaurants 🥇

#1 The Bistro

The Bistro is a family restaurant that serves fresh food and fresh ingredients. You can find The Bistro in Soi Yamato Pattaya. They serve lunch and dinner with Swiss and Thai cuisines. So relax in the cozy atmosphere and enjoy Swiss cheese, Thai beef, cheese fondue, and many more delicious dishes 🏆 The Bistro takes the top spot because of its great food choice and adequate prices.
