Thailand has a well-developed transportation infrastructure. So, the best option to get there will be public transport. You can take buses, taxis, songthaew, and tuk-tuks within the cities 🧐

Once you are on the ground, backpackers seem to universally average about $30 a day as solo and couple travelers. Each day fluctuates a bit 📜 It’s affordable in the north compared to the Thai islands. Still, overall the bare basic budget, if you plan to travel around, is about $30.

Previously, Ayutthaya was the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom, and the historic city is now a UNESCO-recognized world heritage site that encompasses many ruined ancient temples and palaces 📜 It has become a popular day trip from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok), and so it gets busy in the afternoons.

 

Lopburi

Lopburi is a historic city within 2 hours from Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok). An ever-growing colony of macaques has actually overrun the city 🧑‍🎓 Usually, it can be seen roaming around the Prang Sam Yot temple, although they are based out of an abandoned cinema. Some stay the night to enjoy a bit of a real Thailand city while using it as a base for a fun day trip to Ayutthaya. You can explore the nearby countryside covered in sunflowers from November to January 🤔

 

Koh Chang 

Most people love to visit Thailand’s southern islands; even Thailand is rich, with its third island group in the center off to the east.
