How to Visit Thong Pha Phum National Park in Kanchanaburi?

Thong Pha Phum National Park is approximately 200 kilometers northwest of Kanchanaburi town, with the district center of Thong Pha Phum about 65 kilometers away. While buses are available, hiring a car or motorbike is recommended for more convenient exploration of the area. Consider renting an off-road motorbike, like the Honda CRF 250, from Maenamkwai Road, Kanchanaburi's tourist center.

To reach Thong Pha Phum, take the main road 323 north of Kanchanaburi. After around 130 kilometers, you'll reach Thong Pha Phum district. Turn left onto 3272 and stop by a small town on the right to stock up on essentials, as there are no convenience stores within the park.

Continue on 3272, passing Vajiralongkorn Dam (Khao Laem Dam), offering incredible views of Khao Laem Reservoir. Stay on 3272 as it transforms into a thrilling Thai mountain road, providing expansive views. The trip from Thong Pha Phum town can take around 2 hours or more, depending on how often you pause to savor the scenery.
